Celebrity Looks....should I have a complex?

I have always gotten a kick out of these on blogs -- I think it's hilarious....so I decided to try it.

It's so random - they took my fish lips and the direction I'm facing and went with it.....

.....And with a few stickers on my face I can look like Angelina Jolie AND Billy Bob Thorton!! Imagine that!

Photo Shoot

Today was picture day at Tim's school -- but becasue I'm so picky I haven't really liked the last 2 years pictures. So, I figured I'd do my own little photo shoot -- and get that real smile that I love so much. And thanks to Jenni for the new way to play with picasa -- I love it!!

I didn't even tell him to do this....future model?

Laughing

Side cuteness

What a smile!

Mom had to join in too....that was the deal. Posted by Picasa

Late Thanksgiving at the Cameron's

We went up (and that's UP not HUP - the damn dog's not german, Garnet!)to see the Cameron's for a late Thanksgiving meal. As always there were plenty of laughs (usually at Garnet's expense) and it was a wonderful time!! Hillary may never go again - in fact we are still waiting for her to stop rocking back and forth with her hands over her ears -- but whatever. We love you guys so much, thanks for helping us remember how to laugh from our tummys....and now the videos that were made to be used in Blackmail;
Garnet is trying to fix the chair but they are having too much fun with the flash light that you have to shake to turn on. Warning; 1 bad word and a hard to understand sexual inuendo.....

Pilsbury dough boy wants his cinnamon buns!! Anne doesn't like the pop!

Tim steals the show with the Lightning Mcqueen dance he learned from Dad.....
Jenni decorated for Halloween

Matt with the camera that he really wants to give to me because he loves me ....right Matt?

The look on the face says it all......."I'm standing on the couch - but so is Matt, so you can't get me in trouble right?"

Tim, Bailey, Sam and Papa Gary snuggling on the couch

Grandma Anne and Tim doing a huge puzzle!

Science Sick Day

Little Scientist....

Amazing!! Posted by Picasa

Tim stayed home from school today because he had a fever and sore throat -- I had Chemistry labs to do so he helped me and made up a few of his own. He wanted to see how long it took for water in a cup to evaporate, and if nails would freeze inside water in a cup. We also cleaned pennies with vinegar and salt, and made nails turn different colours! He made me actually enjoy Chemistry today. I'm actually doing very well in it this far - I guess I don't need a tutor afterall. It turns out I'm not that old and I'm remembering everything from highschool -- except now I don't have cute boys and other distracting things to think about - so I'm actually getting it!!

Crazy Backwards!!

He's so worried about the guy beside passing him -- he forgets how to skate backwards and rides an imaginary horse.....and I should not video and laugh at the same time.

To buy or not to buy....

Sometimes, I hate being an adult. I'm mistaken for being a teenager every other day - maybe because I am young at heart, maybe because I've had the same hairstyle since I was 15, or maybe because I have been blessed with the ability to look like I am 16 until I hit 40.

I am always asked what highschool I'm doing my volunteer hours for in the hospital. I get 'the look' when I talk about my son and almost always have to stop midsentence and clear up the fact that - no, I did not have my son when I was ten. I am 26. And always, after giving my age it's the same response; "Gasp. Really! I would have given you ___" (insert appropropriate adolescent age)

But looks aside, I sometimes resent the fact that I have to make mature decisions and act like a grown up. Garnet called me yesterday on his way home and said "Skip your test today -- I want you to come with me." It was highschool all over again; school schmool.....I'd skip every other day and still managed to pass somehow. It was tempting -- but I wrote the test anyway and met him afterwards.

Where?

Holding heaven in my hands. A digital slr camera. I want one so bad it hurts. They take the most amazing pictures and I have been holding off for such a long time. Our camera is amazing and I have no problems with it whatsoever -- but it's not an slr.

Decision time: I thought about what I'd be giving up; movie mode. No slr comes with movie mode -- and I loooove taking videos.

Then, of course, the price.

Being adults - we have a house (that needs renovating in every room), we have 2 cars (-- one that is in the shop as we speak), bills, student loans, plus more school tuition coming up in the next 2 years.

I begrudgingly knew the right decision. The decision that makes every ounce of my adolescent self want to scream; "But it's not fair!!"

I put my slr heaven back.

Even though I may not look like one --I'll be an adult today.

Something is very wrong here....

SNOW? (I wanted pictures of the white out/hail conditions earlier -- but all the batteries in the house were dead for both the digital cameras!! arrrrrg) Posted by Picasa

The whole reason (or one of them anyway...) that I moved further south was so that I didn't have to carry on the tradition of wearing snowsuits under our halloween costumes. Apparently, mother nature has it out for me!

Indeed, plenty to be thankful for!

So, what's a girl to do after she masters the art of standard transmission??? Take it on a roadtrip of course! Hillary, Tim and I went to Orangeville and met up with Mom, Dad and Josh to celebrate Thanksgiving with Aunt Nancy and Uncle Murray, Aunt Christine and Uncle Jack. It was a beautiful Fall day and we had a wonderful time -- (despite a 911 call and ambulance trip t othe hospital when Uncle Murray had a few fainting spells and we were worried about his bad heart).
I drove a total of 6 hours in 1 day - through the city of Guelph where every stoplight is on a hill!! It was a great trip - and with my encouraging, sweet sister beside me I feel secure now to drive a standard anywhere!
I'm trying something new here with the pictures - let me know how it works out. To see a picture bigger just click on it. Enjoy the slideshow ;)

Drum roll please.....

I would just like to say that I have officially learned how to drive standard!!!! My husband has been a very supportive and patient teacher and I finally put my stubborness and temper on the shelf long enough to learn. I drove Tim to school all by myself this morning and have been taking little trips alone - without any issues. (Except when I get a little too cocky and try to change the radio station....)

Now, I just have to iron out the rough patches and "find my sweet spot"....ummm yeah.

Wednesday, October 4

Oooops!

Tim decided to walk his bike up the hill and ride it back down......brave little bugger got up to the top and then gad second thoughts. But he decided to go for it anyways......

Forgive my hysterical giggling as my child goes down - just my true sensitive, nurturing side shining through ;)

I wish I had kept the video on as this little voice came out seconds later from the grass; "Uh.......I think I need some help"

Sunny, warm Autumn walk!

Look at all the cool things that we found!!!

Big kisses ;) Posted by Picasa
